Last month, I drove up to New England. This time I wanted to try it without a car. After a Bruce Springsteen concert at the Meadowlands (where he played DARKNESS from start to finish), I drove to Newark Penn Station and parked my car. I took the midnight (slow) train up to Boston. I was able to sleep most of the way. I stayed in Cambridge and had no problem getting around and seeing everything I wanted to. I took the Acela Express back and like Blockbuster Video…….wow, what a difference! As close to European train travel as we are going to get any time soon, lol.

Nice day trip from Boston

It’s amazing how irrational people can be when they feel threatened.

I took the MBTA from Boston to Salem. It was a short easy ride to a place I always wanted to see. It’s amazing how irrational people can be when they feel threatened.

Back up to Boston

For me, Boston is one of those cities that never gets old. Like New York & D.C., you need to ditch the car to really appreciate it.
